A profile photo of a Buff-banded Rail (aka Banded Rail), on Green Island, on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. These birds are common on the island, perhaps because there are fewer predators such as snakes, and some of the tourists feed them. They are not normally this easy to find and photograph.
